At 5 Design Architecture, we approach each project without preconceived notions of form, function, or materiality. We cultivate the project’s design through extensive work sessions with stakeholders to truly understand the needs that define the project. The design is refined through an iterative schematic design process that includes color-coded plans and digital building models to enable the design to be thoroughly understood by the client. 5 Design Architecture embraces environmentally conscious design whether through sustainable materials, low energy use, high-performance building envelopes, or innovative solutions. We enjoy, and encourage, working closely with independent cost estimators to ensure that our designs begin within budget and remain there throughout the design process.
We understand that good architectural design is only part of a successful project. The construction must be well executed.
5 Design Architecture ensures that contractors building its projects remain on schedule, and on budget. We enforce carefully crafted contract language, so the construction phase of each project is as successful as its design. We also routinely communicate with each client after occupancy so that we hear how their built environment is working. This allows us to gain lessons-learned and continuously improve.
