Waynesboro Elementary & High School
Facilities Study
Waynesboro, VA
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
In an effort to identify and prioritize its Capital Improvement needs, the City of Waynesboro, VA Public Schools procured a team led by J.D. Price to conduct a condition and space study. The study included Waynesboro High School, Wenonah Elementary School, and Berkeley Glenn Elementary School.
J.D. led field work to assess existing conditions, conducted days of staff meetings and led community meetings to gather input and inform the public. J.D. developed conceptual plans and cost estimates for improvements and additions at all schools, including phasing options. The study was ultimately used to justify significant renovations and additions at Waynesboro High School.
Prior to leaving OWPR, J.D. led the design team that created the conceptual design and construction budget for the project. The project came in under budget and is now under construction. View the Waynesboro schools facilities study >
