5 Design Architectural Firm is a specialized, boutique architecture firm located in Christiansburg, Virginia. Our company was born from the notion that planning, design, and project management services can best be delivered by a small architectural firm with a select group of clients. Though specializing in PK-12 and higher education facilities, 5 Design Architecture provides architectural planning, design, and project management services to a wide variety of public and private sector clients.

Philosophy

5 Design Architectural Firm is experienced with new building design, and proud to specialize in the design of renovations and additions to existing buildings. Renewal projects are complex, with a myriad of issues, hidden risks, and difficult design problems. However, they are often the most economical solution for owners and we enjoy the inherent challenges.

Passion

Our passion is the renewal of existing educational facilities. There’s no question that many of our nation’s schools need significant renovations. By some accounts, the average age of school buildings in the U.S. is 44 years, which is nearing their average useful life. With shrinking budgets and growing needs, capital improvements become challenging for even the largest divisions and campuses. Our architectural firm specializes in the successful revitalization of existing educational buildings.
